Cook Coaching and Consulting LLC is led by founder and principal David Cook, Jr.  Over the course of his successful professional career spanning three decades successfully managing all aspects of the human resources function across a variety of industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, home building, banking, transportation, and academia, David has become known as a dynamic, innovative, and strategic executive who works collaboratively with leadership teams to deliver creative Human Resources solutions that translate into successful attainment of organizational goals. His work as a senior human resources leader has involved working very closely with executive teams in the creation and deployment of strategic human resources initiatives which led to consistent achievement of business plan results. His background includes domestic, multinational, and cross-industry experience in operationally focused assignments.

David's accomplishments have been consistently acknowledged as those of a highly effective, results-oriented leader, mentor and value-added business partner whose contributions extended far beyond the normal expectations of typical human resources management responsibilities.  These contributions were recognized by HRO Today with the 2021 CHRO of the Year award. He has developed and implemented integrated leadership development and succession planning processes which create a business advantage by developing and retaining the organization’s best talent. Over the course of his career he has successfully coaching a myriad of executives and senior leaders resulting in improved contributions and career growth.

 

David's professional experience is complemented and strengthened by a M.B.A. in Human Resources Management, a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (ABT), and a B.A. in Psychology. Throughout his career, he has been devoted to continuous development and advancement which is evident from his completion of several highly acclaimed advanced education and training programs.  These include certified executive coach, DiSC certified, Targeted Selection certified, National Academy of Human Resources CHRO Academy graduate, and Center for Creative Leadership graduate.

David can best be described as a business person who happens to have advanced knowledge and skill in human resources.
